Project Manager I

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee construction projects, supporting quality, schedule, financial performance, safety, team development, and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Direct project financial performance, forecasting, cost coding, invoicing, and owner billing.
• Support EPC contract negotiations, including schedules and technical exhibits.
• Lead procurement, subcontractor and supplier selection, bidding, awards, and contract administration.
• Manage change orders, trade partner budgets, and project equipment projections.
• Develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, and provide performance feedback.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least six years of related experience.
• Experience supporting complex projects with strong organizational, communication, customer service, and construction law knowledge.
• Commercial construction, renewable energy, EPC contracting, or emerging technology experience is preferred.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, project software, and relevant web application skills.
• Current driver’s license and authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is $113,500-$170,300 per year, with geographic adjustments available in select offices.
