Virtual Construction Manager

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring a Virtual Construction Manager to support project teams and manage VDC work for a data center project near Alexandria, Louisiana.

Project Details

The role supports a data center construction project and requires travel to various job sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage project VDC models, BIM coordination, model-based quantity takeoffs, coordination drawings, and record models.
• Coordinate regular BIM meetings and communicate VDC activities and schedules to project teams.
• Review plans for constructability, support preconstruction, and coordinate model-related RFIs and project changes.
• Assist with proposals, presentations, and project logistics models, animations, and simulations.
• Train company staff on modeling software and procedures while promoting a safe work culture.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field, plus 6 or more years of directly related experience.
• Proficiency reading building plans and specifications.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, Autodesk Building Suite (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD), Trimble SketchUp, and Bluebeam.
• Understanding of model building codes and building science related to enclosure systems.
• Ability to travel and work at various job sites; strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $104,000-$172,000. Travelers receive per diem, trips, and additional incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, PTO, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
