Project Manager II

Job Summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Project Manager II to lead project delivery and financial performance for heavy civil construction work in Wyoming and Colorado.

Project Details

The role oversees projects valued at $5 million to $25 million, with a focus on mission-critical and data center site development. Work includes grading, earthwork, utilities, drainage, and water and sewer infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost and revenue forecasts, schedules, and profitability.
• Coordinate estimating, project controls, construction teams, and project startup.
• Oversee bid reviews, project controls, construction reporting, and contract administration.
• Build effective working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, and project partners.
• Support safe, efficient project execution and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent heavy civil construction experience.
• Progressive project experience in heavy civil construction, including at least five years managing site civil construction activities.
• Experience with grading, earthwork, underground utilities, drainage, water and sewer infrastructure, and site development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, owner relationships, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of CPM scheduling, change management, cost controls, risk mitigation, quality, and safety leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $110,159 to $165,238. Benefits include paid holidays, sick leave, health and insurance plans, and a 401(k) match of 100% on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred by salaried employees, with immediate vesting.
