Job Summary
PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee medium-sized K-12 education construction projects in Fargo, North Dakota. The role provides contract, technical, financial, safety, schedule, and stakeholder leadership from project execution through closeout.
Project Details
The position supports K-12 education construction in North Dakota, including projects delivered through traditional and, when applicable, design-build methods.
Responsibilities
- Administer contracts and coordinate project execution to meet design, budget, quality, resource, and schedule requirements.
- Develop and implement project safety plans while promoting strong health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Track project performance, cost forecasts, schedules, risks, opportunities, and stakeholder expectations.
- Negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders, and progress payments, and monitor trade partner performance.
- Evaluate value-engineering opportunities and enforce contract documents, codes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate design reviews, constructability, design quality, and closeout activities on applicable design-build projects.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- Eight to ten years of progressive construction experience, including K-12 education projects.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, specifications, building codes, construction law, safety, and quality management.
- Strong planning, organization, time management, budget, schedule, risk management, and relationship-building skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management, and scheduling software, with the ability to adopt new technology.
- Leadership and mentoring experience is preferred.
