Project Manager Kiewit Power Delivery Engineering

Job Summary

Kiewit is hiring a senior Engineering Project Manager to lead design delivery for power transmission, substation, and distribution programs. The position is based in San Diego or Irvine, California, and combines technical leadership, project controls, client coordination, and team development.

Project Details

Kiewit Power Delivery provides engineering and construction solutions for utilities and transmission and distribution clients across North America. The work supports electric utility, renewable energy, industrial, and oil and gas markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering staff, designers, and consultants across multiple projects.
• Create staffing plans, schedules, work plans, and man-hour forecasts to support delivery commitments.
• Control scope, quality, budget, schedule, risk, changes, and project performance.
• Coordinate with owners and design partners while maintaining productive client relationships.
• Conduct project reviews, implement action plans, and mentor design personnel.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Design Manager, or Engineering Manager overseeing engineering, estimating, contracts, and client relations.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or comparable related experience.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction standards, scheduling, contracts, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Professional Engineer license strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and project administration tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and collaboration skills.

Compensation and Benefits
