Job Summary

Ames Construction is hiring a Project Safety Manager to oversee safety programs and practices for a heavy construction project in Lake Havasu City.

Project Details

Ames works on heavy civil and industrial construction, including highways, bridges, mines, dams, and rail projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee project safety policies and procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct new-hire orientations and safety meetings; monitor construction work for safety compliance.
• Assess risks, investigate incidents, and analyze project safety statistics.
• Support project setup and budget controls, communicate with clients and subcontractors, and coordinate with the regional safety team.
• Stop unsafe work when necessary and carry out other assigned duties.

Required Experience

• Five or more years in a construction safety supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and strong motivational skills.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of a security background screening.
