Safety Director, Advanced Facilities Group

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Safety Director to lead environmental, health, and safety strategy for its Advanced Facilities Group. The position supports regional and national safety objectives across complex construction operations and is strongly preferred to be based in Kansas City, Missouri, while the listed opportunity is in Mesa, Arizona.

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large-scale data center, semiconductor, industrial, and manufacturing projects for innovative clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage environmental, health, and safety programs, initiatives, metrics, and reporting.
• Lead regional safety training, serious incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Support workers’ compensation matters and coordinate with risk, insurance, executives, clients, and internal teams.
• Manage the drug and alcohol program and safety prequalification platforms such as ISNetworld and ConstructSecure.
• Collaborate with national safety professionals, marketing teams, and regional leaders on communications and presentations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health, construction management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 10 years of construction safety experience, including 5 years managing people and 2 years of budgeting or financial management.
• Advanced communication, presentation, Microsoft Office, safety software, and regulatory compliance capabilities.
• Experience with SIMS, environmental testing protocols, hazard recognition, and construction technology.
• Safety leadership on large advanced facilities or high-tech projects is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required; willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel periodically.
