Project Superintendent

Job Summary

The Christman Company seeks a Project Superintendent for the greater Lansing, Michigan area. This field leadership role coordinates project execution, safety, quality, trade contractors, and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents for constructability, phasing, site logistics, and field conditions.
• Set and maintain site expectations for safety, quality, housekeeping, and conduct; develop and communicate project-specific safety practices.
• Coordinate site logistics, trade work, project meetings, inspections, and permits with the project team, client, and contractors.
• Oversee interpretation of drawings, construction methods, quality expectations, submittals, and punch-list completion.
• Maintain daily progress, weather, safety, and incident reports; review time-and-material records and authorize agreed project requisitions.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least five years of commercial construction experience in a Foreman or Superintendent leadership role.
• Training or coursework in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication.
• Strong construction scheduling, cost control, problem-solving, communication, planning, and relationship-building skills.
