Safety Manager- Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Manager to lead field safety activities for mission-critical construction work in Atlanta. The role manages safety personnel, supports project teams, and advances the company’s safety culture.

This position supports mission-critical construction projects in the Atlanta area.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee field safety programs for construction projects.
• Advise foremen, superintendents, project managers, and office staff on safety requirements and applicable regulations.
• Track incidents, analyze accident trends, and recommend program improvements.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, claims coordination, and drug and alcohol testing processes.
• Perform project safety audits, document hazards, recommend abatements, and verify timely resolution.
• Support safety training, metrics reviews, and development of learning programs.
• Lead and collaborate with safety team members while promoting an inclusive workplace.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health, construction management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 8 years of construction safety experience.
• Zero to two years of team leadership or management experience.
• Advanced communication skills and proficiency with safety software and programs.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, local, and company safety requirements, hazard recognition, environmental testing protocols, and construction technology.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.
