Safety Specialist 2, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Safety Specialist 2 to support field safety operations for mission-critical and advanced industrial construction work in El Paso. The role oversees routine and complex safety activities while partnering with project leadership and trade contractors.

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, audits, orientations, and safety meetings.
• Document hazards, recommend corrective actions, and track abatement through company systems.
• Monitor subcontractor safety programs, drug and alcohol policy compliance, and site incentive initiatives.
• Support accident investigations, employee treatment coordination, injury reporting, and insurance audits.
• Analyze safety trends, recommend preventive measures, and provide training to safety and project personnel.
• Support safety committees and oversee safety activities on complex or multiple projects.

Required Experience

• Two or more years of construction safety experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, local, company, and construction safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction technology, and safety management systems.
• Ability to identify hazards, develop corrective measures, communicate effectively, and collaborate with project teams.
