Self Peform Safety Specialist 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Self Peform Safety Specialist 2 in Mesa to coordinate field safety activities on routine and increasingly complex construction projects, with responsibility for inspections, hazard correction, reporting, and safety trend analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform site walkthroughs, audits, and documentation of hazardous conditions while tracking corrective actions through company systems.
• Support project orientations, safety meetings, committees, incentive programs, and subcontractor safety oversight.
• Assist with incident investigations, root-cause reviews, injury case coordination, and return-to-work monitoring.
• Analyze project and subcontractor safety trends and recommend measures to reduce recurring issues.
• Provide safety guidance and training, participate in project meetings, and support insurance audits.
• Oversee safety activities for a large or complex project and/or multiple projects.

Required Experience

• At least 2 years of construction safety experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, local, and company safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction technology, and company safety systems and tools.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
