Self-Perform Project Manager, Steel

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Self-Perform Project Manager, Steel, to direct moderately complex construction work and support the successful delivery of multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead project administration, safety, procurement, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, cost control, and closeout activities.
• Support estimating, quantity takeoffs, scope development, bid packaging, buyout, and subcontract issuance.
• Manage submittals, change requests, pay applications, project meetings, reporting, and owner or architect communications.
• Develop and maintain schedules, material and labor logs, forecasts, budgets, and mitigation plans for project impacts.
• Identify and manage project risks while coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and design partners.
• Apply Lean practices, construction technology, scheduling tools, and project management and accounting systems.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least seven years of construction management experience.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, MS Office, and Lean process capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency with project management and accounting software, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Ability to work at project sites or in the office, lift up to 25 pounds, and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
