Job Summary
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for its Seattle-area design engineering team. This role supports transportation design-build work and offers flexible work opportunities.
Project Details
The team develops infrastructure designs for bridges, highways, transit systems, runways, walls, culverts, inlet structures, and other transportation facilities across North America.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural and bridge design assignments from preliminary concepts through final plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Coordinate design development with CADD professionals and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Apply applicable standards, codes, and contract requirements while developing practical design solutions.
- Contribute to technical meetings, complex problem solving, and pursuit strategies.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in structural or civil engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant bridge or structural engineering design experience.
- Professional Engineer registration in at least one state, with the ability to obtain additional registration.
- Experience designing concrete and steel bridges, wall systems, and minor structures.
- Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design standards.
- Design-build, seismic analysis, and software experience with tools such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, or PGSuper is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and collaborative communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary is $123,000-$152,000. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
