Senior Mechanical Engineer- Industrial & Manufacturing

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support advanced industrial and manufacturing construction projects through estimating, design coordination, field execution, testing, commissioning, and closeout.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction estimates, constructability reviews, value engineering, bid analysis, and mechanical and electrical scope development.
• Review process designs, P&IDs, plans, specifications, shop drawings, and system submittals for compliance.
• Coordinate system sequencing, scheduling input, inspections, testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional testing procedures, and verify that deficiencies are corrected.
• Promote safety, quality, collaboration, diversity, and continuous improvement while mentoring less experienced team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Five or more years of construction and/or engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read construction plans, drawings, and specifications and use Microsoft Office and construction M/E tools.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
