Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in San Antonio to support complex commercial construction work from project planning through execution. The role coordinates contract administration, field quality, subcontractor activities, and project reporting.

Responsibilities

• Complete quantity takeoffs and surveys to support progress reporting, change management, and contract tracking.
• Administer complex subcontracted scopes, including defining responsibilities, responding to inquiries, and monitoring progress.
• Review contract obligations and assist with project startup activities.
• Coordinate subcontractor submittal reviews, site inspections, deficiency resolution, and systems commissioning.
• Identify potential risks and support other project needs as assigned.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred 4-6 years of operational construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality, materials, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply engineering and problem-solving principles to construction issues.
• Strong communication, planning, organization, scheduling, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Experience preparing and administering subcontracts and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational technology systems, with the ability to learn new tools.
