Senior Project Engineer - Concrete

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage a small concrete project or an assigned portion of a larger project in Atlanta. The role combines project administration, estimating, field coordination, scheduling, quality, and closeout responsibilities while supporting safe and efficient delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field activities, manpower, materials, equipment, production reporting, inspections, and project documentation.
• Prepare estimates, scopes of work, change requests, procurement logs, submittals, and assigned project schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, including selections, purchase orders, deliveries, pay applications, and performance.
• Lead project meetings, quality and safety activities, risk tracking, and communication with project stakeholders.
• Manage punch lists, inspections, as-built documents, operations and maintenance manuals, and other closeout requirements.
• Apply Lean practices, support self-perform opportunities, analyze productivity, and mentor other team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project processes, specific trades, labor productivity, and project financials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, and construction technology.
• Ability to lead teams, build relationships, communicate effectively, and work accurately in a field and office environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
