Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex aerospace and defense construction work in Orlando. This role combines project strategy, commercial management, field coordination, stakeholder leadership, and team development.

Project Details

The position supports large-scale aerospace and defense projects and requires familiarity with industry standards, regulations, security protocols, and quality and environmental expectations.

Responsibilities

• Direct procurement, bidding, subcontract negotiations, project planning, scheduling, logistics, and mobilization.
• Coordinate safety planning, emergency readiness, owner equipment, MEP coordination, BIM processes, punch lists, and labor relations.
• Manage budgets, general conditions, trade costs, changes, payment tracking, profitability, and cost reporting in Prolog.
• Lead project meetings, mentor staff, oversee RFIs and submittals, and manage communication with owners, designers, agencies, and code officials.
• Support business development through proposals, presentations, and pursuit activities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• At least seven years managing large-scale aerospace and defense construction projects.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defense regulations, standards, and security requirements.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and project-management software skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects under pressure while maintaining safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and successfully complete an extensive background check.
• Advanced degrees or certifications are preferred; veterans are encouraged to apply.
