Senior Project Manager I

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior Project Manager I to lead one major project or several complex projects, overseeing performance, safety, quality, client relationships, and team development.

Project Details

Mortenson delivers construction, development, and EPC work across sports, renewable energy, data centers, healthcare, and other markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct project financial performance, forecasting, cost coding, billing, and equipment projections.
• Manage subcontracts, suppliers, budgets, selections, change orders, approvals, schedule, quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
• Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers through assignments, mentoring, and training.
• Serve as the primary contact for owners and on-site representatives while resolving project concerns.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least eight years of construction management, project management, or related experience.
• Experience handling multiple large and complex projects.
• Working knowledge of construction law, business practices, Microsoft Office, project software, and relevant web applications.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Strong communication, listening, customer service, leadership, and policy-interpretation skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $144,300-$216,500, with higher ranges available in select locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan, medical, prescription, vision and dental coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, employer-paid insurance, mental health resources, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, and gym membership discounts.
