Senior Superintendent

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent in Austin to lead complex or multiple construction projects from planning through closeout. The role oversees field teams, project execution, safety, quality, scheduling, and successful delivery while progressing toward a General Superintendent career path.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, company staff, suppliers, site logistics, workflow, and self-performed work.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules with the project management team.
• Lead safety, quality, trade, progress, and project review meetings.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, staffing, documentation, cost tracking, and project reporting.
• Manage project changes, risks, closeout activities, and coordination with owners, designers, and authorities.
• Lead multiple superintendents and support project pursuits, client relationships, recruiting, training, and business development.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of construction experience and 8 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, project management systems, accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, trades, self-perform work, layout, and rigging.
• Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Lean project leadership experience is preferred.

Work Environment

Work includes frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling, with occasional computer work and potential exposure to hot or cold conditions.
