Job Summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a mid-level Site Civil Engineer in Bellevue to support transportation, infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and site development work within an integrated design-build environment.

Project Details

The role supports projects across North America, with an emphasis on transportation-related site civil design, constructability, and collaboration between engineering and construction teams. Work may be performed in the Bellevue office, at project offices, or at work sites, with hybrid scheduling potentially available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare grading, drainage, utility, erosion control, roadway support, and site layout designs.
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, technical analyses, and design coordination.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, reports, and digital models using civil design software.
• Participate in constructability reviews, interdisciplinary coordination, QA/QC, design reviews, and comment resolution.
• Support estimating, pursuit planning, project delivery, progress reporting, and change management for site civil tasks.
• Collaborate with construction and engineering professionals while mentoring junior staff as appropriate.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 2 to 6 years of site civil engineering experience.
• EIT certification is required, or must be obtainable within six months; interest in pursuing PE licensure is expected.
• Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, site development, and transportation projects.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, AutoCAD, or comparable design tools.
• Experience supporting design-build or alternative delivery projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• U.S. citizenship is required for applicable federal contracts and security regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines, work safely, and support occasional overtime or weekend work.

Compensation and Benefits
