Sr. Project Engineer Utility Scale Renewable Energy

Job Summary

Barton Malow Company is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join its Renewable Energy Team, supporting utility-scale solar and wind projects across the Great Lakes Region. The role is based out of Southfield or Grand Rapids, Michigan, with long-term field assignments at project sites throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for tracking and resolving project issues.
• Manage all project document control, submittals, and RFIs.
• Support procurement by distributing bidding documents and tracking bidders.
• Maintain project schedules and prepare meeting minutes.
• Assist with site logistics planning and management.
• Enforce corporate safety policies on the jobsite.
• Evaluate contractor quotations for change orders and manage the plan review and approval process with local and state authorities.

Required Experience

• 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant professional or construction internship experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive, safety-focused attitude.
