Sr. Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure work from its Phoenix office. The role combines client leadership, business development, project delivery, financial oversight, and team development within an employee-owned engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction organization.

Project Details

The position supports municipal and government infrastructure programs involving water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure planning and design, asset management, and related community infrastructure needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing, account development, proposals, client presentations, contracting, and project budgeting.
• Manage client relationships and support market and client engagement strategies.
• Oversee engineering managers, project teams, performance goals, budgets, invoicing, payments, and project reviews.
• Coordinate with owners and internal teams through project execution.
• Mentor staff and recommend training, promotions, and team expansion.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 25 years of program or project management and related technical experience preferred.
• Background in water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure planning and design, and asset management preferred.
• Business development and program or project management experience.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites and work with video and audio conferencing tools.
