Structural Superintendent

Job Summary

Tutor Perini is seeking a Structural Superintendent to lead field construction for its Honolulu rail project, reporting to the Project Manager.

Project Details

The HART City Center Guideway and Stations project includes six rail stations and about three miles of elevated guideway in downtown Honolulu. The approximately $1.66 billion project is expected to reach substantial completion in 2030.

Responsibilities

• Oversee elevated guideway construction to meet safety, design, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Plan and coordinate onsite work, including scheduling and subcontractor activities.
• Ensure craft and subcontractor compliance with contract requirements, site safety plans, material and equipment expectations, and schedules.
• Interpret drawings, recommend construction methods and equipment, and support project scheduling, logistics, and procedures.
• Coordinate with owner representatives and assist with site-specific safety efforts.

Required Experience

• At least 15 years of construction experience, including 10 years as a superintendent on heavy civil concrete structures.
• Superintendent experience on projects valued above $500 million.
• Knowledge of U.S. construction methods and standards, contract management, and local trades and craft.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, or similar software.
• OSHA 500 and CPR/First Aid certifications.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; government client experience and strong written and verbal communication skills are also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $160,000-$220,000, depending on experience.
