Project Superintendent - Building Group (Vertical Construction)

Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking a senior Project Superintendent to lead and support vertical construction work based in Honolulu. The role oversees field operations, craft performance, safety, quality, and schedule execution on building projects.

Project Details

The Building Group delivers office, industrial, education, sports, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, technology, manufacturing, retail, special-use, and tenant improvement projects through general construction, construction management, design-build, and related delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft personnel and monitor productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Connect field engineering with craft teams to support compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, project staff, and leadership to maintain workflow.
• Address employee issues and scheduling challenges, and support labor, material, equipment, and schedule planning.
• Enforce project procedures and company standards for safety, attendance, and workplace conduct.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience, including 5 or more years in supervision.
• Required experience in vertical building construction.
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, jurisdictional matters, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and engineering documents.
• Strong craft supervision, communication, organization, initiative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Reliable attendance, willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed, and ability to work safely across varying jobsite conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $140,000-$190,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
