Superintendent 2, Advanced Industries

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 2 to manage moderately complex advanced-industry construction projects in Hillsboro. The role leads field execution from planning through closeout while supporting safety, quality, schedule, cost, and team objectives.

Project Details

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients. The superintendent may oversee a stand-alone project or a major portion of a larger project.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, site operations, materials, equipment, and workflow.
• Lead safety, quality, daily coordination, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, documentation, reports, logs, and inspection records.
• Coordinate staffing, procurement, self-perform activities, cost tracking, change management, and project closeout.
• Identify project risks, resolve field issues, and communicate progress and changes to project stakeholders.
• Promote an injury-free, diverse, and inclusive workplace while mentoring team members.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management software, construction technology, Lean practices, layout, rigging, and self-perform productivity.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, scheduling, project accounting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project needs require.
• Lean experience is preferred.
