Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 3 to lead field execution on a pharmaceutical animal healthcare project in Kansas City. The role focuses on front-end planning, equipment installation, and construction execution across complex process systems and clean utilities in a pharma environment.

Project Details

The project involves drug product equipment installation, critical process systems, and clean utilities within an animal healthcare pharmaceutical facility. Scope includes coordination across rigging, heavy move, mechanical, electrical, low-voltage, cleanroom, and equipment vendors, with close collaboration with process suite teams and VDC on move-in planning and field sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end planning for equipment installation, critical process systems, and clean utilities.
• Develop and coordinate RACIs, scope documents, and interface plans defining equipment boundary responsibilities.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors and internal stakeholders to align procurement, delivery, installation, verification, and PRD requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, schedule, safety, and quality for the project or assigned portion.
• Lead daily standups, weekly trade meetings, and OAC progress meetings.
• Create, manage, and update the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Monitor installation readiness and remove technical and coordination barriers affecting equipment setting, commissioning support, and handoff.
• Support project closeout including pre-punch activities and coordination with owner and architect.
• Identify and actively manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of construction experience with 5+ years in field supervision.
• Advanced knowledge of layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Proficiency in scheduling software, project management software, and MS Office.
• Ability to apply Lean process and philosophy (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
