Superintendent 3

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 3 to plan, manage, and execute moderately complex commercial construction projects from start to finish in Kansas City. This role reports to senior field leadership and follows a career path toward Sr. Superintendent.

Project Details

Projects are moderately complex stand-alone builds with demonstrated success expected on high-value commercial projects exceeding $50M in value.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations including safety culture, subcontractor management, scheduling, and quality compliance.
• Manage multiple field supervisors and coordinate self-perform and subcontracted work.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Conduct daily standup and weekly trade meetings, and participate in OAC progress meetings.
• Track and monitor project budgets using cost reports and project management systems.
• Manage material, equipment, and timecard approval processes.
• Support project closeout including pre-punch activities and coordination with owners and architects.
• Identify and actively manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Cultivate client relationships to develop new business opportunities and future work.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of construction experience with at least 5+ years in field supervision.
• Demonstrated success leading complex commercial projects exceeding $50M in value.
• Proficiency in scheduling software, project management software, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of crane flagging, rigging, layout, Lean principles, and trade-specific scopes of work.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
