Superintendent 3, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 3 in Atlanta to lead moderately complex mission-critical construction projects from planning through closeout. The role coordinates field teams, subcontractors, project sequencing, safety, quality, and delivery goals.

Project Details

This position supports mission-critical construction work and may oversee a stand-alone project or a major portion of a larger project, including multiple field supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Direct site operations, subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, and field supervisors.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, work plans, staffing plans, and project sequencing.
• Lead safety, quality, coordination, progress, and trade meetings while promoting an injury-free work environment.
• Manage site logistics, materials, equipment, documentation, reports, cost tracking, and timecard approvals.
• Coordinate project changes, procurement, closeout activities, inspections, and owner, architect, and authority communications.
• Identify project risks, resolve field issues, support pursuits and buyout activities, and cultivate client relationships.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of construction experience and 5 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, trades, self-perform operations, and labor productivity.
• Advanced layout, crane flagging, and rigging knowledge is required.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project needs require.
• Lean principles experience is preferred.
