Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking a Superintendent for its Florida Buildings Group in Jacksonville. This employee-owned construction company offers opportunities to lead field operations and advance through structured development programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction workforces and coordinate own forces work with trade contractors.
• Build and maintain project schedules, including three-week lookahead plans, while monitoring productivity and costs.
• Lead site meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, field crews, and internal teams.
• Apply construction methods, specifications, safety requirements, contract provisions, and engineering principles to project execution.
• Resolve conflicts, address field problems, manage project risks, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certification or a related undergraduate or engineering degree.
• Up to 15 years of progressive field supervision experience is preferred, along with experience supervising construction personnel.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, specifications, scheduling software, productivity rates, labor cost reports, and contract language.
• Ability to coordinate multiple scopes, interpret cost information, lead meetings, and apply safety and environmental procedures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
