Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking a Superintendent for its Florida Buildings Group in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami market. This role leads field operations, coordinates project stakeholders, and drives safe, efficient, high-quality construction delivery.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety procedures and ensure compliance with project documentation requirements.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor project teams, field personnel, and trade partners.
• Coordinate subcontractors, client representatives, consultants, engineers, estimators, and labor resources.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, master schedules, and resource-loaded three-week lookaheads using Primavera P6.
• Manage schedule performance, constructability concerns, budget adherence, quality, productivity, and project risks.
• Lead site and client meetings, resolve conflicts, and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or undergraduate degree in a related construction or engineering discipline.
• Approximately 10 years of progressive field supervision experience preferred, including successful construction workforce supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, safety requirements, contracts, cost reporting, and environmental procedures.
• Experience coordinating multiple work scopes, own forces, trade contractors, schedules, and labor cost reports.
• Working proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and operational systems.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, conflict-resolution, presentation, and professional judgment skills.
