Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations for building construction projects in Tampa. This role oversees project execution, workforce leadership, safety, schedule, quality, and coordination with project stakeholders.

Project Details

The Superintendent is expected to have experience managing complete building projects valued at approximately $50 million to $100 million, including coordination of company forces, trade contractors, clients, consultants, and labor representatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety procedures and maintain required safety records.
• Lead, coach, train, and coordinate project teams, company forces, and trade contractors.
• Manage project schedules, critical-path activities, three-week lookahead plans, quality, budget, and recovery planning.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, estimators, subcontractors, clients, consultants, and labor representatives.
• Review contract and subcontract requirements, identify risks, and support financial and project performance objectives.
• Lead site meetings and resolve field conflicts, work interruptions, and schedule challenges.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or undergraduate degree in a related discipline, preferably engineering or construction.
• Approximately 15 years of progressive field supervision experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supervising a construction workforce and managing full projects valued at $50 million to $100 million.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, specifications, safety and environmental requirements, contracts, productivity, labor costs, and cost reports.
• Ability to use scheduling software, coordinate multiple project scopes, interpret project logic, and develop lookahead schedules.
• Conflict-resolution, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, presentation, and site-meeting leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
