Trade Foreman 2 Civil (Union)

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is hiring a Trade Foreman 2 – Civil (Union) in Kansas City, Missouri to lead exterior piping and underground civil scopes as a working foreman. Responsibilities span storm boxes, water and sewer mains, detention basins, utility tunnels, and water lines.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the crew on assigned tasks while supervising daily field operations.
• Establish and monitor crew sizes and production goals, documenting activities and labor hours via timecards.
• Manage subcontractor crews for portions of projects or small standalone projects.
• Coordinate preplanning for crew size, schedule, materials, and manpower.
• Create and enforce safety plans, lead tool box talks, and participate in job hazard analyses and SIMS reporting.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, shop drawings, and coordination drawings.
• Apply Lean principles including daily stand-up meetings and pull planning.
• Coordinate trade inspections and maintain punch list documentation.
• Control production costs and assist with MOC and equipment analysis.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 2+ years of field supervision experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational/technical degree in a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office; intermediate communication, layout, and crane flagging/rigging skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project needs demand.
