Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group is seeking a Trade Foreman 2 with a focus on Heavy Equipment Solutions to lead crews on large-scale industrial, data center, and semiconductor construction projects in Kansas City. This working foreman role involves hands-on field work alongside crew supervision, with responsibility for transportation, storage management, installation, and removal of heavy construction equipment.

This position sits within JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group, which specializes in Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing projects — including data centers, semiconductor facilities, and large industrial builds.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on trade work while supervising and leading a field crew.
• Manage subcontractor crews for portions of projects or smaller stand-alone projects.
• Set and track crew production goals, document activities, and submit timecards.
• Coordinate preplanning for crew size, schedule, materials, and manpower.
• Lead safety activities including toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, and SIMS reporting.
• Apply and lead Lean construction principles such as daily stand-up meetings and pull planning.
• Coordinate trade work, inspections, and punch list activities for assigned scope.
• Assist with materials, other costs, and equipment analysis.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 2+ years of field supervision experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of crane flagging and rigging.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with project management systems and production reporting.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications.
• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational or technical degree in a related field preferred.
