Traveling Concrete Superintendent

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Traveling Concrete Superintendent to support project planning, field execution, safety, quality, scheduling, and closeout activities. The role advances to Superintendent 2 and requires coordination with project leadership, trade partners, owners, designers, and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety, subcontractor coordination, workflow planning, daily operations, and project meetings.
• Manage site logistics, materials, equipment, staffing, timecards, documentation, and self-perform work.
• Develop and adjust schedules with the Project Manager while monitoring progress, costs, and project changes.
• Maintain quality standards, construction records, drawings, logs, reports, and inspection documentation.
• Support procurement, buyout, change negotiations, project reviews, pre-punch work, and final closeout.
• Promote an inclusive workplace and help identify and recruit qualified field talent.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of construction experience, including 1 year of field supervision.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, concrete-related trades and scopes, self-perform operations, layout, crane flagging and rigging, scheduling, and project controls.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, Microsoft Office, scheduling software, project management software, and construction technology skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
