Traveling General Superintendent Aviation

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling General Superintendent to provide senior field leadership for complex aviation construction work nationwide. The role reports to the National Aviation Vertical and offers a path toward Director of Field Operations.

Project Details

The position oversees large, complex stand-alone projects or multiple aviation projects and teams from initial planning through completion, with assignments requiring travel throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Direct safety, quality, sequencing, staffing, subcontractor coordination, and daily field operations.
• Develop, maintain, and adjust project schedules, work plans, budgets, and change-related impacts with project management.
• Lead site, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, materials, equipment, timecards, logistics, and closeout activities.
• Oversee multiple complex projects and teams while supporting company initiatives, training, recruiting, and talent development.
• Communicate project information to owners, designers, authorities, trade partners, suppliers, and internal teams.

Required Experience

• At least 12 years of construction experience and 10 years of field supervision experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, trade scopes, self-perform work, labor productivity, layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Working knowledge of project management and accounting systems, scheduling software, MS Office, construction technology, Lean practices, budgets, and cost management.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
