Traveling Piping Superintendent Oil, Gas, & Chemical (OGC)

Job Summary

Kiewit Energy is seeking a traveling Piping Superintendent to lead field execution for oil, gas, chemical, refining, petrochemical, biofuel, and other process-industry projects. The role directs field supervision, coordinates craft labor, and supports safe, quality-driven project delivery across changing jobsite locations.

Project Details

Kiewit Energy delivers engineering, procurement, and construction services throughout the OGC market. This traveling position may require relocation among projects based on business needs, development plans, and candidate experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct Foremen, General Foremen, journeymen, laborers, and other field personnel while coordinating work methods, sequencing, schedules, cost control, drawings, specifications, and workmanship.
• Coach Junior Superintendents and support the development of field leadership.
• Manage subcontractor and field-management coordination, client communications, issue resolution, and planning meetings.
• Review labor-rate composition, job-cost updates, cash-flow projections, change orders, and project completion and turnover plans.
• Maintain project records, complete employee evaluations, and recommend staffing, policy, procedural, and promotion decisions.
• Work safely and meet project deadlines, including overtime and weekends when required.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience, including 5 or more years in superintendent or other field leadership positions.
• Oil, gas, and chemical construction experience is preferred.
• Strong background in field leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, contract administration, and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently, learn company processes and software, communicate effectively, and maintain reliable attendance.
