Electrical Superintendent - Solar - Louisiana

Job Summary

Overland Contracting, a Black & Veatch company, is hiring an Electrical Superintendent to direct field execution for a solar construction project in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Project Details

The role supports solar construction, coordinating electrical craft activities to meet project safety, quality, schedule, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction progress, productivity, costs, and schedule; develop three-week look-ahead plans and corrective actions.
• Coordinate foremen, craft teams, subcontractors, and other discipline leaders; verify required labor, materials, and equipment are available.
• Review work packages, timesheets, installed quantities, progress requests, and punch-list completion.
• Maintain site records, support issue resolution and contract administration, and prepare hazard analyses for major work packages.
• Supervise and support general foremen, foremen, and minor subcontractor supervision.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction field leadership experience on comparable projects.
• OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver's license.
• Construction Management or Engineering degree and training in safety, cost, quality, scheduling, and contract administration are preferred.
• Ability to perform physical work at construction sites, including working outdoors and up to 12-hour shifts.
