Traveling Sr_ Project Engineer (Utility Scale Renewable Energy)

Job Summary

Barton Malow Company is hiring a traveling Senior Project Engineer to support utility-scale renewable energy construction across the Great Lakes Region. The role coordinates onsite engineering activities and communication among project stakeholders.

Project Details

Projects include large-scale solar and wind facilities throughout the Great Lakes Region, with reporting support from teams in Southfield and Grandville, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance in resolving and tracking project issues.
• Control project documents, process submittals and RFIs, and support bid document distribution.
• Maintain project schedules, prepare meeting minutes, and assist with site logistics.
• Review contractor change quotations and process change orders.
• Coordinate plan reviews and approvals with local and state authorities.
• Apply corporate safety requirements on project sites.
• Coordinate project communication with architects, engineers, owners, and contractors.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Three to six years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, self-directed problem-solving, and commitment to jobsite safety.
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the Great Lakes Region.
