Project Engineer Entry-Level

Job Summary

Lunda Construction is hiring an entry-level Project Engineer to support project teams from its Black River Falls or Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. Recent graduates with a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related engineering field are encouraged to apply.

Project Details

Lunda works in heavy-highway, civil, and industrial construction. Its infrastructure portfolio includes bridge, highway, and transit projects such as the I-74 Mississippi River Bridge, Saint Croix Crossing, and Southwest METRO Green Line Extension.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with layout, schedules, work plans, long-lead materials, and field execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, mock-ups, and subcontractor scopes; help verify work meets applicable requirements.
• Support billing, cash flow forecasts, change orders, RFIs, quantity takeoffs, and subcontractor coordination.
• Coordinate with project staff, design partners, subcontractors, and QA/QC teams.
• Support safety efforts, including inspections and OSHA compliance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related engineering field.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior construction or heavy civil experience is a plus; recent graduates are welcome.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
