Sr. Project Manager

Job Summary

Lead project planning and delivery for excavation, support-of-excavation, and foundation scopes at a Manhattan jail site in New York City.

Project Details

The work includes deep excavation, soil removal, secant piles, caissons, and support-of-excavation systems such as bracing and tiebacks.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, work plans, design reviews, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Oversee field execution of excavation, shoring, drilling, soil removal, and foundation work.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors, and site safety and environmental compliance.
• Manage client and stakeholder communication, project reporting, cost tracking, and risk mitigation.

Required Experience

• 20+ years of construction project management experience, particularly in excavation, support-of-excavation, and foundation work.
• Experience with secant piles, caissons, soldier piles and lagging, and steel bracing systems.
• Knowledge of geotechnical principles, construction drawings, scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, budgeting, and change management.
• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• OSHA 30, PMP, DFI training or related certifications, and EIT or PE credentials are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $225,000-$275,000, depending on experience.
