Job Summary

JE Dunn’s Aptitude group is seeking a Project Manager 2 to lead technology integration work from early planning through project closeout. The role combines technical coordination, estimating, financial management, client consultation, and team leadership for smart building and related systems.

Project Details

The position supports technology, security, life safety, network integration, and smart building scopes on construction projects, coordinating with owners, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technology design, constructability, installation, and integration activities.
• Develop scopes of work, responsibility matrices, project plans, schedules, budgets, and proposals.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and obtain vendor and trade partner pricing.
• Manage project costs, staffing, billing, collections, schedule performance, documentation, and closeout.
• Track milestones, resolve issues, evaluate project results, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Support business development, project pursuits, training, technology innovation, and staff development.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of experience with information technology, security, or life safety systems.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Intermediate MS Office proficiency and the ability to develop proposals, fees, and work plans.
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, relationship-building, and financial management skills.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $125,000-$155,000, depending on experience, with potential consideration above the range for exceptional candidates. The position includes a target performance bonus and professional non-union benefits.
