Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an Aptitude Superintendent 2 in Denver to lead complex intelligent integration and low-voltage technology projects from planning through closeout.

Project Details

The role covers structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, fire alarm, audiovisual, building automation, nurse call, infant security, RTLS, phone systems, and network electronics across multiple building markets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project execution, sequencing, scheduling, production, quality, safety, and risk for assigned scopes.
  • Direct low-voltage trade partners, suppliers, company staff, and self-performed work.
  • Coordinate design, pathways, conduit, back-box infrastructure, cabling, device installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, design teams, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Track project documentation, costs, materials, equipment, labor reporting, and schedule changes.
  • Support project pursuits, change negotiations, reviews, pre-punch activities, and closeout.
  • Promote an injury-free workplace, investigate incidents, and reinforce safety expectations.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of construction experience, including 5 years with Division 8, 23, 25, 27, or 28 systems.
  • At least 3 years of field supervision experience; project management experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, construction methods, project processes, drawings, scheduling impacts, and labor productivity.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction technology, presentations, and project-to-project software configuration.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project conditions require.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $122,500-$155,000 per year, depending on experience, with potential for a performance-based target bonus. The position is classified as professional non-union and includes JE Dunn's applicable benefits package.
