Aptitude Project Manager 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn’s Aptitude group is seeking a Project Manager 1 to coordinate technology integration scopes within building projects. The role supports design, estimating, procurement, project delivery, and stakeholder coordination while progressing toward greater project leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technology-related design and construction activities to meet technical, quality, financial, and constructability requirements.
• Develop technology scopes, responsibility matrices, project proposals, fees, work plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Provide technical guidance for design assist, installation, and network integration of related systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, obtain vendor and trade partner pricing, and prepare budgets or hard-bid proposals.
• Manage project costs, projections, staffing, billing, collections, schedules, documentation, and closeout.
• Track milestones, communicate progress, resolve issues, and evaluate project performance.
• Support safety initiatives, Aptitude processes, project delivery strategies, team development, and company communications.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, information technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least five years of experience with information technology, security, or life-safety systems.
• Five or more years of project management experience preferred.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to develop proposals and work plans, manage budgets, build relationships, and collaborate effectively.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work at project sites or in an office.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $102,500-$135,000 per year, depending on experience, with potential for a higher offer for exceptional qualifications. The position includes a target performance bonus and professional non-union benefits.
