Architectural/Engineering Project Manager - Federal Way, WA

Job Summary

Kiewit Architectural & Engineering is seeking a senior Architectural/Engineering Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary building design and delivery from concept through construction support. The position is based in Federal Way, Washington, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three office days per week.

Project Details

Projects use design-build, progressive design-build, and EPC delivery models across federal and government, healthcare, mission critical, sports and entertainment, transit and aviation, education, nuclear, industrial, power, and water-related markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and technical teams through conceptual design, documentation, and construction support.
• Manage execution plans, budgets, schedules, staffing, quality, safety, constructability, and client expectations.
• Serve as the primary client and stakeholder contact and lead meetings, presentations, and design reviews.
• Oversee building systems integration, code compliance, constructability, sustainability, and technical coordination.
• Mentor design staff and coordinate with estimating, procurement, construction, field, and operations teams.
• Support pursuits through proposal development, scope and fee definition, and interview presentations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, architectural engineering, mechanical, electrical, structural, or related engineering is required, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of building design and engineering experience with progressive project leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams and managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships.
• Required experience with early project development and Progressive Design Build or Front-End Engineering Design models.
• Strong understanding of design-build and integrated project delivery methods.
• PE license or Registered Architect credential is preferred.
• Experience with complex design-build or EPC projects and familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit or Navisworks are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
