Assistant Electrical Superintendent

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Electrical Superintendent to coordinate and oversee electrical crews on solar construction sites, working alongside the Electrical Superintendent.

Project Details

The role supports solar projects and their electrical scopes, with assignments at remote locations and travel of up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical work, resources, and site logistics, and assist with material planning and equipment sizing.
• Support project schedules and three-week look-ahead planning; supervise crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor work progress and quality, facilitate coordination meetings, and ensure construction follows drawings and specifications.
• Promote site safety, coach craft workers, support budget and buyout activities, and contribute to project quality planning.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction or supervision experience involving medium- and high-voltage projects.
• Experience with self-perform projects and a current driver’s license.
• A bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and MS Project skills, along with leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Wind farm electrical knowledge is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $102,900-$154,400, with location-based adjustments for specified offices, and the role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision and dental coverage, a 401(k) match, paid leave, insurance, tuition reimbursement, and other programs. Benefit eligibility varies by worker classification and hours.
