Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Holder Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a full-time, in-person project team role in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The position supports project execution, trade coordination, cost management, and development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trade work, materials, fabrication, delivery, and installation activities.
• Review and validate monthly trade contractor payment applications.
• Manage cost control, change orders, RFIs, and emerging project risks.
• Support overall project execution beyond assigned trade contracts.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related design documents.
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to a collaborative project culture.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering, or at least three years of equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Basic familiarity with Bluebeam, SketchUp, Navisworks, BIM 360, or comparable construction software.
• Willingness to relocate as needed is preferred.
