Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support project delivery from estimating through client acceptance, while helping lead and develop project team members.

Responsibilities

• Support project cost control, estimates, schedules, scopes, pay applications, and change documentation.
• Assist with proposals, contract administration, subcontract awards, project buyout, and trade partner coordination.
• Guide project engineers and field engineers, support safe and timely execution, and manage assignments and development.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier coordination, project budgets, and quality planning; perform project manager duties on smaller projects.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of related experience and the ability to support complex projects.
• Current driver’s license and ability to take project assignments in the North Carolina region.
• Working knowledge of construction law and business practices, plus intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and web application skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $102,000-$137,700, with higher ranges for certain office locations, and the role is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
