Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Five Star Electric, a Tutor Perini company, is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction work at the Midtown Bus Terminal project site in New York.

Project Details

The role supports electrical construction at the Midtown Bus Terminal, with coordination among field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, cost tracking, forecasting, and change-order administration.
• Coordinate procurement, material deliveries, subcontractors, and vendor pricing.
• Review electrical drawings and specifications, and track RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Work with field supervisors and foremen, attend project meetings and site walks, and help address field issues.
• Share project updates with owners and other stakeholders while supporting company safety requirements.

Required Experience

• A degree in construction management, electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.
• One to three or more years of construction project coordination or electrical contracting experience is preferred; electrical contractor internship or field experience is strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical construction, ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and familiarity with project documentation.
• Strong organization and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar software experience is preferred or a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected annual salary range is $70,000-$85,000, depending on experience.
