Assistant Project Manager (Civil Construction)

Job Summary

Support project delivery for Keeley Construction’s Civil Energy Team in St. Louis, coordinating project controls, field operations, safety, quality, and financial tracking.

Project Details

The team works on civil energy projects, including substation, transmission and distribution, and deep foundation drilling work.

Responsibilities

• Support estimating, scheduling, safety, quality, and day-to-day project operations.
• Help coordinate project milestones, subcontractors, crews, equipment, suppliers, and materials.
• Track budgets, job costs, forecasts, project impacts, and potential schedule delays.
• Maintain project controls and documentation, including change orders, closeout materials, LCPR, and material logs.
• Coordinate with field leaders, other project managers, clients, and vendors.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, plus at least two years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Technical understanding of substation, transmission and distribution, or deep foundation drilling projects.
• Knowledge of permits, owner requirements, subcontracts, billing, change orders, and project reporting.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, and clients.
