Job Summary
JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 1 to lead healthcare construction projects in collaboration with the Project Superintendent. The role manages project administration, client and design-team relationships, safety, quality, schedule, cost, and closeout activities.
Project Details
The position supports healthcare construction, where project execution must account for patient care, hospital operations, safety, quality, and coordination among owners, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
Responsibilities
- Direct project operations from preconstruction through closeout.
- Manage bidding, buyout, submittals, subcontractor agreements, change requests, pay applications, and project documentation.
- Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, the field team, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, procurement logs, cost forecasts, budgets, and profitability reports.
- Lead project meetings, monitor risks and schedule impacts, and develop mitigation plans.
- Promote an injury-free work environment and support incident investigation and corrective training.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of construction management experience.
- Working knowledge of construction management methods, project processes, scheduling, budgeting, and project accounting.
- Advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, scheduling, and construction technology software, plus intermediate MS Office and Lean process skills.
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
